This
stitch is practically painting with the needle. It is a filler stitch
that fills the motif, flowers etc with the colored embroidery thread.
It is a simple modification of satin stitch where the length of
the stitches are at two levels. It is used when the space to be
filled is too big to be covered with satin stitch. It is also used
to give a shaded effect. In the first row the stitches are alternately
