Embroidered Kurta
Kurta, the traditional wear for men are embroidered to give an ethnic cultural
touch. Men's kurtas are generally of cotton, rayon and silk. They are comfortable
to wear and exotic to look.
Cotton kurtas are embroidered with the Chikan work with floral
motifs such as jasmine, rose, buds and creepers and lotus flower. This type of
kurta is very widely accepted. The embroidery may cover the whole kurta or may
just adorn the neck. For the ceremonial purposes rayon or preferably silk kurtas
are worn. They are embroidered with silk or metallic threads and even zardosi.
They are fashioned in different ways to create variety and resemble traditional
styles. |
